one of my friends is at a meet and great with Josh Pyke that she won right now. i saw her yesterday and ask her if she was excited about it, but she was all ‘to be honest, i haven’t really thought about it. i mean, i am too stressed about this date i am supposed to be going on.’
well la-di-la. maybe you should share some of the excitement in your life with some of us with duller ones.
if when i become a billionaire all i want to do with my fortune is build my own personal theatre and then i will hire my favourite bands to play gigs for me 24/7 so my entire existence will be living in a concert.
people keep asking if i will be bored being an optometrist i honestly don’t believe i will. staring at people’s eyes, especially under microscopic examination is actually one of the most beautiful things ever.
ASK BOX TUESDAY! (well TMI Tuesday but we are being lady like today)
Pick three songs that are on your hard drive and tell the class something about them (Why you picked them, an interesting tidbit, some musical quality I won't understand, etc.).
It's like show and tell when you were little!
ok.
i close my eyes and stabbed a couple. here is what i got:
1. Matt Corby - Brother. firstly, no joke, i love this song. i scream it out while driving and i think my passengers enjoy that. tbh, i thought Matt Corby was a tool on Australian Idol, but I love the style that he is created. He is one of two main reasons I am driving to Dalby very soon for Triple J’s One Night Stand.
2. Lady Gaga - Americano. Hahahahaha. I used to listen to this album A LOT when it first came out and I do have a lot of respect for the music and art that Lady Gaga produces. Plus, I am going to her concert in July with my totally Gaga-crazed bestie.
3. Arctic Monkeys - Reckless Seranade. This is my favourite song and not from my favourite album of their’s but, omg, I LOVE THE ARCTIC MONKEYS. I saw them play at the Riverstage in January and almost died from violent moshing their pure beauty. Plus, the are in my top five bands that I vowed at age 14 I must see before I die. The last one on that list left is The Killers.
i don’t know how or why but sometimes while having conversations with people my mind will automatically pull out the most random fact from my memory and then force my mouth to spit it out.
yesterday at uni I managed to turn a passing comment about obesity into me blabbing about an obese man who had to be blasted out of his apartment on our local bridge.
and then i topped it off with a story about an obese man who hadn’t moved from his couch in so long his skin had actually fused with the material and there were maggots eating his rotting skin and faeces.
then i added ‘what would it be like for his girlfriend to had sex with a man and maggots at the same time?’
i am at home on a friday night trying to write a dumbARSE ASSignment BUT i am getting as far as a refugee into australia i.e. not very and there for i felt like making my first post on tumblr in a year
So basically, um, um, um, I was amazing. If they tour again soon, I will be there in a heartbeat.
I really like the venue it was in too, as it was a little smaller so it was easier to get closer.
I am sorry I didn’t get clips of any of the better songs - I was getting too into it to think about it. And 99% of my pictures didn’t turn out. :’(
Also, we were to the side where Ray was playing so I didn’t get anything up close with Frank or Mikey, but Gerard was right up there so all is g in the h.
Side note: Gerard’s voice is actually quite strange and combining that with some of his moves, my friend spend most of the night thinking he was gay. Haha.
